We are pleased to announce that Pratibha Agarwal, Principal Shareholder, was elected to the board of directors of Just Neighbors, a nonprofit organization in Northern Virginia dedicated to serving the region’s immigrant community.

 

Just Neighbors opened its doors in 1996 after a group of pastors and attorneys came together in an effort to resolve legal challenges being faced by low-income immigrants in the community. Beginning with just an office in Falls Church, Virginia, Just Neighbors has since opened a second office in Herndon, Virginia, in order to help serve those populations in Fairfax, Loudon, and Prince William Counties.

 

By partnering with other similar organizations, volunteers, and lawyers, Just Neighbors provides essential legal services and advice to individuals in the immigrant community on issues ranging from obtaining work approval to securing citizenship. Within the past few years Just Neighbors has also prided themselves on providing support to those seeking asylum and refugee from their home countries for a variety of reasons.

 

Pratibha is honored to serve on the board of Just Neighbors and is looking forward to giving back to her community.  Pratibha will serve a term of 3 years and is a member of the Board’s Development Committee.  Pratibha’s work will advance Just Neighbors mission of providing immigration legal services to low-income immigrants and refugees while also fostering enriching experiences that enhance the community.
